The Active IQ level 3 diploma in sports massage therapy qualification is the course you need to allow you to provide sports massage therapy to a range of clients who have dysfunctional tissue, without acute/post acute injuries or underlying pathological conditions. The qualification allows you to work as a sports massage therapist within a gym or sports team or on a freelance basis.
The level 3 diploma in sports massage qualification is comprised of the following units;
Unit 1: Anatomy and physiology for sports massage
Unit 2: Principles of health and fitness
Unit 3: Understanding the principles of soft tissue dysfunction
Unit 4: Professional practice in sports massage
Unit 5: Sports massage treatments
Assessment methods include Multiple Choice Examination, Portfolio of Evidence, Practical Demonstration/Assignment/Assessment.
This is a twelve week course that includes 10 days of delivery (1 day a week, including a two week break in the middle of your course). Between delivery, you will be required to complete assessment paperwork and commit to 50 hours of massage practice to ensure competence upon completion.
An appropriate understanding of basic massage techniques, all of which is covered in a 1 day course provided by us. Upon application to the course, this will be discussed with a member of our team.
